There are numerous nature trails waiting to be explored near Tirrenia and in the Pisa area in general. The rich ecosystems and the varied landscape stretching from the sea to the mountains make it an ideal area for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts.

One of the very finest nature and history trails can be found in the Cornate di Gerfalco mountains. Spanning 17 km, it takes hikers through some of the most beautiful medieval villages in the Pisa area and all of the way to the top of a mountain with magnificent panoramic views. On clear days, it is possible to see the Tyrrhenian Sea, the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and Corsica.

There are lots of winding CAI (Italian Alpine Club) paths around Mount Pisano that can offer unparalleled views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the rolling hills and broad valleys in the surrounding area.
